The Department of the Academic Registrar derives its mandate from the University and other Tertiary Act 2001. The department is headed by the Academic Registrar, who currently is Mrs Ann Deborah Mugerwa.

Role of the Department
The role of the department of the Academic Registrar's is to coordinate academic matters in the University namely: Admissions, Research, Curriculum Design and Implementation, Academic Ceremonies and Staff Welfare plus the Implementation of Rules and Regulations of the University.
The Academic Registrar’s Department has 4 Divisions namely; Senate, Examinations, Admissions and Extensions and Affiliated Institutions.

CLEAR VISION, MISSION OBJECTIVES AND CORE VALUES
The Finance Department reports directly to the office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor ( F & A) for operation purpose but accountable to the University Secretary on financial matters as the University Accounting Officer.
The Department is headed by a University Bursar and is primarily responsible for strategic financial planning and budgeting of the University’s financial activities and management of financial resources including monitoring the utilization of funds.

MAIN FUNCTIONS
The Dean of Students’ department at Kyambogo University like in other Universities, is a welfare department charged with the responsibility of ensuring provision of welfare services to students and maintenance of discipline among students in accordance with the University rules and regulations.
The main functions of the department include but are not limited to the following:
