Robert Okello is a Part-Time lecturer in the Department of Community and Disability Studies at Kyambogo University where he has been a faculty member since 2003. He holds Bachelor’s Degree in Community Based Rehabilitation, Special Needs Education and a Rehabilitation specialist for people with disabilities and Tactile Communication.Robertis a Masters student at MasenoUniversity and his research interests lie in the area of Adaptive Technology, Inclusive education and Rehabilitation. In recent years, he has focused on techniques for tactile communication and inclusive development programs. He has collaborated actively with researchers in several community based rehabilitation programme.Robert has served on several committees likePrograms committee of senate (curriculum) - Kyambogo University, District Community Based Rehabilitation focal person-Busia District, member on the electoral college of the Anglican church-Bukedi Diocese. He currently serves on the B.O.G-Busia Nursery Teachers college and the Education Board-Bukedi Diocese. Robert is T.O.T for CBR undergraduate in programs and sign language instructor. Robert lives with his partner, a special Needs education educator with their two sons and four daughters.Robert enjoys playing volley ball, athletics, (road) bicycling and enjoying good food and live Christian music. Now he usually manages to work with people with special needs.
